Dr Sean Owens is a doctor and pharmacist with an interest in nutrition, metabolic health and lifestyle medicine. In 2010 Sean elected to study graduate entry medicine in UCD Dublin, 2010-2014, and in 2012 he was selected to investigate Triple Negative Breast Cancer at Emory University, Atlanta Georgia. Sean works in inner city Dublin with outreach and homeless services.

Sean is representing a team of concerned Irish health care professionals who wish to promote the benefits of a whole food plant based diet via education. His talk “Plant Based Medicine In Ireland: Challenges And Opportunities” will assess the current state of Irish health, how a whole-food plant based diet is an underutilized solution and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
